Award Criteria
- Professionalism – high principles, faithfulness to laws and regulations of the Code of Ethics and local board; furtherance of principals of good real estate practice among other brokers and the general public.
- Customer Relations – Real Estate Practitioner who participate in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political action, fraternal and religious groups, etc.
- Civic and Business Networking Activity– Association offices and committee work; Business Networking, special activity and education work; and Industry Initiatives such as affordable housing etc.
- CPD – Continuous Professional Development and Workshops– same as (3) but in a sustained manner; include attendance at conferences and Home expos.
- Innovative and Creative– same as (3) with a focus to improve the real estate industry products and services
- Business Accomplishments– recognized good business conduct; service to clients; imaginative and creative advertising programs; rehabilitations; land utilization, etc
- ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL FACTORS – Detail how the development demonstrates the opportunity for people on low to moderate incomes to afford home ownership on both an initial cost and longer-term operating basis. Judges will look at the positioning of the project against the median price for a particular location and/or product.
- PROJECT VISION AND INNOVATION – Describe how the development displays innovation in the project concept and in overcoming site or development complexities. This should be described as a point of difference.
- CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY – Describe the projects approach to supporting people to maintain connection with their community and neighbourhood, avoid social isolation, increased broader economic benefit (such as ageing-in-place) and maintaining home ownership over time. Applicants may wish to address the projects specific demographic or sectoral responses such as accessibility, adaptability, health care or provision of other facilities for those with other abilities such as sensory impairment etc. with an emphasis on high amenity experience for occupants.
- QUALITY OF DESIGN AND FINISH – Detail and provide examples on how the development exhibits a high quality of architectural design; represents value for money and is compatible with surrounding land uses and contributes to the success of housing affordability (e.g. site constraints, unique design solutions, and project cost constraints). Include supporting pictures.
- RESIDENT SATISFACTION – Describe, using testimonials from a variety of stakeholders, including residents, the extent to which the development has a proven high satisfaction level of all users.
- INDUSTRY PERCEPTION – Describe, using testimonials from a variety of stakeholders, the extent to which the development is considered a success by the property marketplace or a particular affordability sector.
- Innovation — does the design stand out, provide something new to the market or supplement/improve an existing product or service?
- Aesthetics — artistic value of the form, shape, colour, texture, finishing, engineering, material used, etc.
- Functionality — ease of use, safety and maintenance.
- Ergonomics — the overall interaction with the user.
- Durability — the quality and longevity of the design.
- Impact — the benefits delivered to the user and/or society by the design.
- Utility — does the design meet the intended purpose and needs of the user?
- Ecological compatibility — potential environmental and/or ecological impact
- Feasibility of production — how realistic is it, technically and economically, to bring this design to production and broad-scale use
- Emotional quotient (EQ) — in addition to fulfilling its practical purpose, will the design create a sense of enjoyment and satisfaction?

- Innovation — does the design stand out, provide something new to the market or supplement/improve an existing product or service?

- Adaptation: Your company’s approach for successfully navigating challenges (examples: economic headwinds, community pushback, demographic or environmental conditions). Share a specific challenge faced, detailing what your company leadership learned and how the company addressed the issue.
- Community Relations: Your company’s impact on the markets where you do business, including actions that focus on sound planning, job growth, workforce retention/attraction, issue advocacy, and permitting/approvals, among others. Detail how your company has worked with local policymakers, and the positive outcome to the local community.
- Company Culture: Your company’s commitment to and incorporation of diversity, equity and inclusion practices; mentorship and career development programs; and internal adaptability to changing work environments.
- Financial Success: Your company’s strategies for return on investment, economic sustainability and success.
- Innovation: Your company’s innovation and forward-thinking approach to development and building operations. Detail what sets your portfolio apart from other top CRE developers, as well as your company’s strategies for adapting and innovating to meet the demands for changing workforce, technology and wellness goals, among others.
- Professional Association Involvement: Your company’s and employee engagement with any association, including participation in and support of programs offered by the body, as well as volunteer leadership contributions.
- Philanthropy: Your company’s volunteer charitable interests and contributions in the markets where it is active.
- Premier Developments: Showcase up to three of your company’s most notable development projects, including year developed, type, location and photos. Detail why each project is among your company’s highest achievements, including innovative features, return on investment, and community impact. Completed projects only, preferably within the last 5 years.
- Sustainability: Your company’s incorporation of sustainability, technology and resiliency into the development, construction and operation of buildings (as applicable). Include certifications/honors received, economic success/return on investment, community impact and cutting-edge solutions.

The Award advances diversity and inclusion within the real estate industry and recognizes inspiring women who have made outstanding contribution to the property industry and to their particular field of specialty. The award recipient will be a role model to other women in the industry and will have demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities and shown a deep level of commitment to their industry and improving the professionalism of others around them.
Eligibility Criteria
The award is open to all female members across all grades of membership and levels, who has been a member for at least 12 months. A nominee’s contribution may have been made in either a single calendar year or over a longer period.
- The nominee’s impact on, and reputation within, her firm and the broader professional community
- The nominee’s professional career highlights, from deal-making savvy and innovation, to client satisfaction and personal growth
- A proven ability to achieve goals and display ingenuity in terms of creative thinking and problem solving
- The nominee’s dedication to furthering the development of her field and the role of women within it
- Accomplishments and involvement in her company, the Real Estate industry and broader social community
- A personal commitment to the highest ethical standards, service and excellence
Description of the business’s history and where you are today in comparison to last year. Please provide additional evidence of this, for example: growth, investment, turnover, profits, size, staffing levels, product range, etc.
Showroom details – including design and layout, any products displayed and experiences available to customers, with evidence through a floor plan and images to support.
Examples of marketing activity, including details of how your business engages with customers and the local community. Any PR, advertising, social media and digital marketing strategies, showing results over the last 12 months. Details and evidence of customer events.
Description of a multichannel strategy – Explaining how the web platform compliments the physical retail store. Examples to include online product videos, incentives to convert web visitor to store visitor and the overall user-friendliness of the website.
Evidence of staff training – Details of what training is available, internal and external.
Customer service strategy – description of strategy including customer feedback and reviews.
Awarded to an independent kitchen retailer that offers a unique showroom and utilizes its space and kitchen displays to proactively drive sales forward.
Demonstration of products in innovative, high quality room settings is essential.
Seeks to honor the most innovative and cutting-edge companies who have played an integral role in advancing tech in the real estate industry.
Another new award, this is designed to celebrate a property company, organisation, team or individual that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to technology within the sector. Whether it’s a programme, a deal, an example of digital transformation or a bold move, change or hire, we want to find the people and companies making a real, committed and prolonged difference.

These will be combined to give an overall score for each entry. All judges’ pre-scores will then be combined and the highest scoring entries will determine the shortlists.
